Shirley Walker was born in San Antonio, Texas and grew up in Austin, Texas.

She received her undergraduate degree in sociology from the University of Texas at Austin and a master of social work degree from the Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio.

She has over thirty-five years experience in the social work profession in mental health, family service, private practice, health care, and social work education.

From 1985 to 1988 she wrote a weekly Christ-based column, "Ask Shirley", for a local community newspaper in Austin, Texas. In the 1980's, she was the executive producer and host of an ACCESS Cable television program in Austin, Texas called "Christ Evangelistic Ministries".

Jesus Christ saved her at age twelve and began an ever-expanding and developing work in her life.

She is a member of Generations Church in Leander, Texas under Pastor Bob Brydon. She serves in the Prayer Team: Prayer Partner, Altar Prayer, Intercessory prayer, and Greeter ministries.

As time allows, she enjoys bowling, reading, nature, and dipping in the pool.

She is a retired Professor of social work in the Social Work/Sociology/Criminal Justice department at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton, Texas (2010).

She does Consultant work in Leander, Texas with these focuses: Seminar Series for women who have never given birth and reared a child; presenting God's Transforming Journey of Caregiving Seminars to area churches and community residents; and facilitator of the Spirit of Hope Caregivers Support Groups for caregivers of dementia/Alzheimer's family members.

She ministers in the Luke 4:18 Ministries Healing Rooms and Deliverance Ministries. People want and need inner healing and freedom from strongholds in their lives.

Father God has led her to offer a new ministry called "Christ Evangelistic Ministries-Bloodlines Cleansing" under the spiritual covering of Luke 4:18 Ministries, Austin, Texas. She was part of a core group who received their training from Jill and Steven Young. There is an anointed team ready to minister freedom from generational iniquities so your bloodlines can receive your legal inheritance and walk in the destiny Father God intended for you to have.
